North Star Network adds basketball website Lakersbrasil.com to portfolio

Sports and gaming media group North Star Network is delighted to confirm the acquisition of the Brazilian basketball website Lakersbrasil.com.

The website, which launched in 2006, is one of the largest NBA team news portals in Brazil and keeps fans of the LA Lakers up to date on all the important news, features, and statistics regarding their team.

Basketball continues to grow in popularity in Brazil, ranking second on the list of favourite sports among Brazilian residents. According to a 2021 Google Sports Study, Google searches in the country for Lakers superstar LeBron James were equal to that of Gabigol, the standout player for Brazilian football team Flamengo.
