M&A director

Job Description

North Star is an international media group, running sports media brands in +30 markets.

Our portfolio of websites (sport news, soccer, boxing, mma, e-sports…) in figures:

• 50+ websites

• 30M+ monthly page views (and rising 🚀)

• +80 employees

M&A plays a strategic role in the company expansion, both in mature & new markets.

Reporting to the CEO in charge of business development, the key objective of the M&A Director is to reinforce North Star’s business on the priority markets through strategic market analysis, evaluation, realization of targeted mergers and acquisitions.

🎯 Scope

• Lead negotiations with targeted companies and assets, from small/tactical acquisitions to 7/8 figure purchases.

• Recruit & Manage the M&A team (currently 4 people, including M&A analysts & Outreach specialists)

• Review end-to-end M&A processes (from the site identification to the site integration within the North Star Network brand portfolio)

• Identify and hire M&A providers to increase the lead pipeline

• Coordinate analysis with our internal experts (Market, SEO, Media, Finance, Legal)

• B to B PR management: communicate on NSN acquisition activities

• Number of NDAs signed

• Number of closed deals

Requirements

📝 Your profile:

Graduated in finance or corporate banking, you have an extensive track record (5+ years) of M&A operations, including sourcing, diligence, negotiation, structuring, financing, and transition, ideally in the digital industry.

You are comfortable dealing with company executives in a multi-cultural environment. Your problem-solving skills are recognized, as well as your ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Fluent in English and ideally in French.
