North Star Network hosts sports fan communities across the world. We run sports media in over 30 countries, helping bettors make informed choices about their wagers and where to place them.

Legal counsel actively participates in developing our international position and provides legal support.

More specifically, you will : 

– Draft and review general commercial agreements (service agreements, partnerships, joint ventures) as well as support the negotiation and execution of the related post transactions documents (amendments, terminations, etc…);

– Provide legal support to North Star Network M&A international projects from the due diligence process to post-closing procedures (instructing, working with external specialists, counsel or other advisors or experts if necessary).  

you’ll work closely with our administrative and financial manager, M&A team and associates.

  – Draft and negotiate term sheets and definitive transaction documents, adapting it to each country specific requirements, and support closing transactions and post-closing integration (end to end).  

– Undertake and follow-up legal and regulatory formalities.

  – Monitor the recents Laws and Regulations (changes and updates) with a potential impact on our business abroad (US, UK, BR, LATAM, etc.) and in France, provide training / support about it.

  – Prepare and improve internal template agreements to streamline the process for concluding contracts within efficient timeframes.

  – Deal with complex matters that cut across legal and related areas and keep updated of legislative changes in the countries where we operate.  

– Interface with specialized consultants and law firms managing specific consultations on IP, copyright, corporate and labor law, while limiting and supervising legal costs.

  Your profil :

• You have at least 4 years of experience as an M&A lawyer within a reputable law firm and/or a legal department of an international company.
• You are fluent in English (portuguese or french is definitely a plus).
• You have excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Good knowledge/experience of M&A transactions.
• Can-do mentality/not afraid of new or previously unknown topics.
• Good judgment and quick to recognize where external specialists need to be involved and coordinate successful collaboration.
• High organizational and rigorous skills.
• Ability to manage legal issues in a dynamic and international environment.
• Experience from tech, gaming or the financial industry is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills.

Salary : from 48k€ of gross salary + bonus based
