North Star Network announces the acquisition of

North Star Network are pleased to announce the acquisition of as it makes another decisive step into the South American sports media space, inheriting the site from the Cooperativa Group.

Founded in 2018, has grown its reputation as one of the go-to sources in Chile for engaging sports journalism, with celebrated coverage of the Chilean Primera División and the national soccer team in particular.

The latest addition to the NSN portfolio joins existing media properties including Sports Mole, Top Mercato, Afrik-Foot, Trivela, Premier League Brasil, and Vringe to expand North Star’s international footprint.

North Star Network co-founder Julien Josset said: “I want to thank the Grupo Cooperativa team for their trust and professionalism. AlAireLibre is a reference sports media brand in Latin America. Working closely with the legacy team and our internal experts, we are confident we can take this brand to the next level.”

NSN will retain journalists from the legacy team to maintain the authority, tone and voice of the content that has made AlAireLibre an established media brand within the Chilean sports space, while Cooperativa will maintain its sports programming across radio and online.

Grupo Cooperativa CEO Luis Ajenjo said: “The initial relationship with North Star Network until reaching this positive conclusion allowed us to get to know a highly professional and committed team with whom we resolved multiple details of an unprecedented negotiation.
