Team Lead SEO H/F (ENG)

Job Description

North Star Network is a media company, operating in the international gaming and sports industry. To strengthen our team of 55 people, we are looking for a passionate SEO Team Leader to join us!

You will be joining an SEO team of 10+ people, based in Lille, Paris and Remote.

Our portfolio of websites (football, boxing, mma, e-sports…) in figures :

• 50+ websites

• 30M+ monthly page views (mainly organic traffic, some discover, and quite a few other sources)

• 40+ markets

🎯 Missions :

• Recruitment/Management of your own team of SEO project managers. You will participate in sourcing, conduct job interviews, board, train and define the objectives of your team. You will conduct interviews (annual, quarterly, weekly) and participate in the evaluation of the skills and continuous training of your team members.

• Roadmaps : creation, implementation and monitoring of an SEO roadmap: you understand the business priorities and know how to identify all the SEO projects needed for your market, create a time-bound SEO roadmap (with the market manager) and deliver it.

• SEO Audits (technical) :

• broken links (5xx, 4xx, 3xx) and identification of patterns, depth levels, orphan pages, canonicals, internal linking (creation/implementation of silos), structured data, hreflangs, duplicate…

• log analysis (performance, response codes, crawl volume, crawl budget optimisation, etc.), page indexing.

• SEO Audits (semantic) : You know how to identify the main semantic optimisation levers on the site's top pages but also how to optimize the templating of our content: you know how to analyze our current content briefs and are able to propose optimisations.

• You know how to carry out keyword studies, cluster them and propose site structures.

• You know how to identify all the content gaps thanks to our tools (ahrefs, Semrush, GSC) and how to monitor the competition.

• You will be required to work on media sites, with a large share of visibility in Top stories (if you know this subject and have already worked on E-A-T issues, this is a real advantage).

• Audits SEO (authority) : analysis of the competition & creation of netlinking plans. Ratio of homepage/internal links, types of anchors (optimised, semi-optimised, url…). Our Netlinking Manager will contact potential partners and deliver the most qualitative links possible.

To achieve your goals as a Team Leader SEO, you will have :

• a team of SEO specialists (+10 members: Team leaders, SEO project managers, on-site SEO team)

• a Tech team of 12 people

• access to the main SEO tools (ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Seolyzer)

• true autonomy: you are allowed to organise your daily life as you wish

Requirements

📝 Your profile :

• 5+ years as an SEO (in 100% SEO positions), preferably having worked inhouse, with concrete results to show for it.

• Proficient with SEO tools (ahrefs, screaming frog, log analysis tools) and Excel (V-search, pivot table…)

• Experience on competitive SERPs (finance, comparators, betting & gaming, etc.)
